A Taste of France from David Lebovitz's Paris Kitchen

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending a book signing with famed chef, blogger and author David Lebovitz. Held at 13-a baker's dozen, an adorable American-owned café nestled away in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, David’s latest book “My Paris Kitchen” was the star of the show.

After picking up my copy, I was anxious to get home and start burying my nose deep within its glossy pages. A beautfiully bound hardcover book, "My Paris Kitchen" features 100 tastebud teasing recipes intertwined with witty anecdotes, expert tips and gorgeous Paris photography.

Having just finished reading the introduction and currently working my way through the ingredients section, I am already impatient for a trip to my local market and the chance to try my hand at some of the luscious appetizers, dishes and desserts within. I've got my eye on the Counterfeit duck confit (page 179), and Warm chocolate cake with salted butter caramel sauce found on page 262. Each look absolutely heavenly, but perhaps I will have to restrain myself from making both calorie-laden dishes in the same day...or perhaps not!
